About Shahnaz
Shahnaz Soans joins Knack RCM as Chief People Officer, bringing over 22 years of distinguished HR leadership from Bank of America. At Knack RCM, she is responsible for the people and culture agenda across our global workforce in the United States, India, and the Philippines—including Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Leadership Development, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, HR Shared Services, and HR Business Partnership. She will focus on building scalable HR processes and systems, leveraging technology, data, and analytics to drive business growth.
Throughout her career at Bank of America, Shahnaz led large-scale HR transformations and built infrastructure from the ground up. She played a pivotal role in HR integration efforts for Merrill Lynch and Countrywide Financial, managed operations across multiple countries, and was instrumental in establishing the HR Service Centre in India—deploying robust processes and systems to support global operations.
As a strategic HR business partner, Shahnaz has worked closely with senior leadership to align people strategy with business objectives—a core strength that defined her tenure as Vice President of Human Resources at Bank of America. In this capacity, she led HR strategy for large business units, partnered with executives on transformation initiatives, workforce planning, and organizational restructuring, while driving measurable business impact. Her expertise spans the full HR lifecycle including talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational development, and HR analytics. She has driven retention strategies that reduced critical-role attrition significantly, launched an award-winning upskilling program recognized by Brandon Hall Group, and built HR systems that delivered valuable business outcomes while maintaining high employee engagement.
Shahnaz holds a Master’s in Industrial Psychology and a Diploma in Human Resource Management, with leadership certifications from Indian School of Business (ISB), XLRI, and Cornell University.
